We’re Back!

Sorry that we’ve been away for a few weeks, but here is a new and updated Fort Report!

The Fort Report July 29th – August 4th

Tuesday 29th

  • Crest Cinema: Spidey 2, Godzilla 2D/3D, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Million Dollar Arm, Rio 2 play through Thursday.
  • Guild 45th: Wish I Was Here and Begin Again play through Thursday.
  • Harvard Exit: Richard Linklater’s Boyhood plays through Thursday.

  • Seven Gables: The late Philip Seymour Hoffman in one of his final roles A Most Wanted Man plays through the week.

  • Varsity Theatre:  The Purge: Anarchy, Hercules, and Siddharth play through Thursday. (Siddharth is a family drama about the possibility of human trafficking in India.)

  • Northwest Film Forum:  the 48hr film project will be having a meet up at 7pm. Also playing will be  Cannibal a feature film the will appeal to fans of the series Hannibal.

  • Sundance Cinemas: The winner of the LA film festival’s Best Documentary Code Black is the story of an overwhelmed L.A. County hospital emergency unit as told by young residents who are thrust into a pit of chaos. Additionally, iOrigins, Ida, Chef, Lucy, And So It Goes, Apes, The Grand Seduction, Edge of Tomorrow, Life Itself, and Sex Tape play through Thursday.

  • Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movies at Bellevue Downtown park: is showing The Lego Movie
  • Blue Fox Drive-In: Planes: Fire and Rescue along with Maleficent

Wednesday 30th

  • Central Cinema: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles party with favorite episodes from the original animated series as well as Turtle Trivia. This event begins at 7pm.

  • SIFF Film Center: Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest masterpiece The Master plays tonight at 7pm as part of the Magnificent Andersons film series.
  • Movies at MaryMoor: Footloose plays as part of the outdoor movie series.

Thursday 31st

    • Ark Lodge Cinema: They Live plays as part of the Dark Lodge film series. Party at 7pm, Movie at 8pm.

  • Central Cinema: 80’s Arm-Wrestling epic Over the Top plays tonight in glorious Hecklevision!

  • Movies at Magnusson: Sixteen Candles plays tonight
  • Moonlight Cinema at the Red Hook brewery: will be showing Top Gun

 Friday 1st

    • Central Cinema: Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgunday and Sabrina starring Audrey Hepburn open tonight and play through the weekend.
    • SIFF Uptown: 40th anniversary release of Texas Chainsaw Massacre playing through Sunday at 10:15pm!!!  Get on Up the James Brown biopic opens today.  Additionally, the Uptown will be presenting a 30th Anniversary screening of the Talking Heads’ classic concert film Stop Making Sense plays Friday through Sunday.

    • The Grand Illusion Cinema: Anime film K Missing Kings plays tonight through Sunday.  The Grand Illusion celebrates Humphrey Bogart with screenings of To Have and Have Not as well as The Big Sleep. They play into next week.

    • Varsity Theatre: Mood Indigo opens for a limited one-week run.

    • Northwest Film Forum: Lynn Foulkes One Man Band is the story of the eclectic and eccentric artist Lynn Foulkes as told through interviews of his contemporaries and admirers.

  • 3 dollar Cinema: Teenage Dreams is the name of the film series that opens this week at Cal Anderson park with Bring It On!
  • Auburn Summer Sounds and Cinema: presents Despicable Me 2

Saturday 2nd

  • Fremont Outdoor Cinema: Richard Linklater’s 70’s classic Dazed and Confused plays tonight as part of the Fremont Outdoor film series.
  • Movies at the Mural:Will be showing Gravity on the lawn at the Mural Amphitheatre.
  • West Seattle Outdoor Movies: presents Sleepless in Seattle

Sunday 3rd

  • Movies at King’s Hardware in Ballard: presents Rushmore

Monday 4th

  • SIFF Uptown plays Locke starring Tom Hardy for a rerelease in case you missed it the first time.
