  • The Central Cinema: The Dark Crystal and Team America play through Wednesday
  • The Grand Illusion Cinema: Dr. Strangelove plays through Thursday. Jodorowsky’s Dance of Reality concludes its run tonight.
  • SIFF Film Center: The Royal Tenenbaums plays tonight as part of the Anderson on Anderson series
  • SIFF Cinema Uptown: The Beatles’ A Hard Day’s Night plays through Thursday with early showings only.
  • SIFF Cinema Uptown: Snowpiercer, Yves Saint Laurent, and Ida play through Thursday
  • Crest Cinema: Amazing Spidey 2, Cap in 2d and 3d, Divergent, The Other Woman and Rio 2 play through Thursday
  • Guild 45th: Obvious Child and Begin Again play through Thursday.
  • Harvard Exit: Exclusive Showing of Brony Tale, a SIFF Favorite, at 7pm.  Roger Ebert doc Life Itself and le Chef
  • Seven Gables: The Grand Seduction plays thru Thursday
  • Varsity Theatre: Earth To Echo, Korengal, and Deliver Us From Evil play through the week
  • Northwest Film Forum: Martin Scorsese presents: Masterpieces of Polish Cinema with the film Jump as well as Mother Joan of Angels.  These are special engagements so ticket prices are much higher. $70 reg price. Please see the Northwest Film Forum’s website for additional information.
  • Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movies at Bellevue Downtown park: Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters

Wednesday 9th

  • Grand Illusion: Nic Cave’s 20,000 Days On Earth plays tonight and Thursday
  • SIFF Film Center: Paul Thomas Anderson’s Magnolia plays at 7pm
  • Northwest Film Forum: Martin Scorsese presents: Masterpieces of Polish Cinema with the film Black Cross aka Krzyzacy.  Black Cross is one of the most successful Polish films of all time with the exception of last year’s Life Feels Good. This is a special engagement so ticket prices are much higher. $70 reg price
  • Marymoor Outdoor Cinema opens with Frozen

Thursday 10th

  • SIFF Film Center: A Hard Day’s Night plays at 7pm
  • SIFF Uptown: Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Double feature at 7:15
  • Northwest Film Forum: Martin Scorsese presents: Masterpieces of Polish Cinema with the films The Wedding and Hourglass Sanitorium.
  • Outdoor Movies at Magnusson: Grease

Friday 11th

  • Central Cinema: Roman Holiday and Pulp Fiction play through the middle of next week.
  • Grand Illusion: Documentary Razing the Bar: The Story of the Funhouse opens a one week run. Ricki-Oh: The Legend of Ricky plays tonight and tomorrow.
  • SIFF Film Center: Czech That Film Festival opens tonight with reception and introduction at 6pm with film at 7pm.  Czech That film festival plays through the weekend.
  • Harvard Exit: Opening today Biopic Violette opens its run.
  • Varsity Theatre: Roman Polanski’s Venus in Fur opens an exclusive one-week run.
  • Northwest Film Forum: Martin Scorsese presents: Masterpieces of Polish Cinema with the film Camouflage.  Additionally, the Forum opens The Internet’s Own Boy.

 Saturday 12th

  • SIFF Film Center: Czech That film festival continues with Like Never Before, Lousy Bastards and Honeymoon. See the SIFF website for details on these films.
  • Northwest Film Forum: Film Education Open House is a free event spotlighting the wide variety of classes that the NWFF offers. Additionally, they are showcasing a program DRM: Digitally Rendered Mind which is a collection of new video projects by local talent.
  • Fremont Outdoor Cinema opens with The Royal Tenenbaums as a free screening.
  • Carillon Point Outdoor Movie Series in Kirkland: Thor: the Dark World

 Sunday 13th

  • SIFF Film Center: Czech That film festival concludes with screenings of Colette and a sneak preview of Burning Bush – A film surrounding the fallout of a Prague students self-immolation in protest of the Soviet occupation of Prague.

Monday 14th

  • SIFF Film Center: Donald Rumsfeld doc The Unknown Known and Scarlett Johannson’s Under the Skin play tonight.
