After months of waiting, the SIFF program guide is finally here!
Yesterday I wrote out my shortlist of what I was hoping that we would get to see at this year’s Seattle International Film Festival and I was not disappointed. Well, I was kinda disappointed. I don’t know if it’s just getting the new site off the ground, but it’s super glitchy and it seems like they haven’t added all of the content that can be expected for this year’s festival.
I’m bummed that me and Leroy weren’t able to get into last night’s preview event, but that just means that I’ll have to go through all the offerings the old fashioned way – one at a time. I don’t know how I’ll be able to watch 300 something trailers, but I love trailers!
I was happy to see that Me and Earl and the Dying Girl will be shown at the fest as well as The Wolfpack. It also looks like Jason Schwartzman will be a guest at a special tribute event for his latest film Listen Up Phillip. Just added is An Evening With Kevin Bacon where SIFF will pay tribute to this legendary actor and pop culture icon with a screening of his latest film Cop Car.
It looks like SIFF is continuing to tweak their site and add more and more content throughout the day so I think that I’m going to shut my mouth and get to watching some trailers!!!
